Two arrested for using stolen credit cards in Del.

SMYRNA, Del. – Smyrna Police arrested two people Monday evening for using stolen credit cards at a local business.

At approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to the Rose’s store in the unit block of E. Glenwood Ave for a report of a suspect inside of the store acting suspiciously. On arrival, officers made contact with 19-year-old Raheema Wallace of Queens, NY as she was leaving the store.

A subsequent field interview revealed that Wallace was in possession of marijuana. Police then made contact with 21-year-old Paul Ogunwomonju, also of Queens, NY, who was waiting for Wallace in a running vehicle. He was also found in possession of marijuana.

Officers then obtained and executed search warrants, resulting in the recovery of more than 40 stolen credit/bank card numbers uploaded into multiple cell phones. It was then learned that the suspects were using an app on their phones to purchase pre-paid gift cards with stolen bank/credit information from unknowing victims.

Both suspects were charged with second degree forgery, second degree conspiracy, and possession of marijuana, and were released on $2,000 unsecured bond pending a future court hearing.
