The Salisbury Chamber of Commerce wants you to be career-ready for their annual Job & Career Fair

SALISBURY, Md. — The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce is proudly hosting their annual job fair here in Salisbury. 47 ABC’s Erica Murphy was joined by LeVita Bragdon this morning to get more information on the upcoming event.

This year’s fair is presented by Quality Staffing Services and will be held this Friday, October 11 from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Centre at Salisbury Mall. LeVita says they are expecting 1,000 to 2,00 people to attend the job fair, a huge outcome.

Booths are set up throughout the main corridors of the mall. The event is open to any business seeking employees in the Lower Shore area.

To give a general setting of what the fair will be like, there will be hundreds of job openings in a wide range of industries. Attendees are expected to bring multiple copies of your resume and don’t forget to dress for success!

LeVita, who is the events manager for the Salisbury Chamber, says this event “will be a good thing for job-seekers.” With 55 employers and counting committing to the job fair, she has the facts the back up that statement. She also says the Salisbury Chamber are willing to take more employers at this moment.

LeVita tells Erica that companies like Mountaire Farms and  Perdue Farms, some of the Eastern Shore’s largest employers, will be at the job fair and many more companies.

During the interview, LeVita also gave some free tips on what to do at the job fair for hopeful, eager employees. Her first tip was to “dress for success, dress for the part you want”

LeVita also gave a great tip saying “you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.” She wants those who attending the job fair to put themselves out there and put their best foot forward.

If some are struggling with your resume, LeVita says the Resume Doctor will be on-site, helping those tweak and perfect their resumes for employers. She also says there will be Spanish, Haitian, and Creole translators at the fair. They made sure no one was left out of the  job fair.

The Job & Career Fair is FREE for attendees and open to the community. If you need more information, you can visit the Salisbury Chambers website at and click under the event tab.  You can also call the chamber at 410-749-0144 or reach LeVita via email at
