School officials confirm no threat at Bennett High School

SALISBURY, Md. – Officials with Wicomico County Public Schools say that a reported threat at James M. Bennett High School was deemed not credible and that there is no threat to the school.

According to the school’s Facebook page, the school was put in a “safe in place” status after receiving a concerning phone call. Law enforcement responded to investigate the call and thoroughly checked the building.

We’re told nothing was found as a result of the search, and the school returned to normal operations.
