Salisbury man charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana

SALISBURY, Md. – A traffic stop led to drug charges for a Salisbury man last week.

Shortly before 7 p.m. on October 1st, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 400 block of N. Salisbury Boulevard. The deputy became suspicious that there was contraband in the vehicle based on various indicators, and after being questioned, the driver, 28-year-old Gregory Dixon, told the deputy that he had marijuana in his bag.

A subsequent search resulted in the recovery of more than 10 grams of marijuana, as well as crack cocaine.

Dixon was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of marijuana over 10 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
