Salisbury Christian School wins “Hit the Books” contest

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Christian School recently won the Delmarva Shorebirds’ annual “Hit the Books” contest.

On Wednesday, Sherman the Shorebird made an appearance at the school to meet the students and give them high fives. The school also received one thousand dollars as their award for the contest.

More than 50,000 students at more than 100 schools on the Eastern Shore participated in the event to encourage students to read outside of the classroom.
