UPDATE: Theft suspect identified, arrested in Delaware

10/10 UPDATE: Rehoboth Beach Police have arrested a man suspected of stealing a parked vehicle in Rehoboth Beach last weekend.

According to police, information provided by citizens led to the arrest of 38-year-old Ellery Parker III of Georgetown Wednesday evening.

Investigation revealed that Parker obtained the keys to a 2018 Ford F350 owned by a 42-year-old Michigan man. Sometime after 3 a.m. Saturday, the vehicle was stolen from a parking space in the second block of Rehoboth Avenue. The truck was recovered that same day just after 7:30 a.m., in the parking lot of the Royal Farms in the 400 block of Rehoboth Avenue. Police say the vehicle and its contents were valued at nearly $80,000.

Parker was charged with one count of felony theft of a motor vehicle and was released on $2,000 unsecured bail.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Rehoboth Beach Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man they say is suspected of stealing a parked vehicle Saturday morning.

According to police, the incident happened between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., in the second block of Rehoboth Avenue. The stolen vehicle has been recovered.

Police have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect (pictured above). No further details are being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
