Possible shooting incident under investigation in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a reported shooting incident that happened early Wednesday morning.

According to police, at around 2:45 a.m., a 17-year-old male was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital via private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the lower leg. The victim reported that he was shot outside of a home in the 200 block of West Division Street.

Police say there was no evidence of a crime scene in the area or any reports of shots fired. The victim did not provide any suspect information, possible motive, or witness information in regards to the incident.
