Phase 1 of Phillips Packing House renovation complete

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – In Cambridge, city officials and community leaders celebrated the first phase of renovating the historic Phillips Packing Company Tuesday night. The repair and stabilization of the century-old smokestacks started over the summer and is finally complete. Now that part one is finished construction is hopefully set to begin soon on the building which will become an active mixed-use development. Officials say the building is being designed to grow and scale the operations of the Eastern Shore’s small and medium-sized businesses that will incorporate state of the art technology that will also help clean the Chesapeake Bay.
