New Hurlock museum to open at train station
HURLOCK, Md. – The town is one step closer towards getting a brand new museum they say will help to preserve their past.
According to town officials, the new museum will be at the train station near Main Street.
People have donated old items that reflect the town’s history.
Some of the items include old signs donated by local politicians, old railroad tools, old train schedules as well as pins.
The town is also waiting for a 125,000 dollar grant that will help them repair the train station’s roof and keep their plans for a new museum on track.
“So, we’ve gotten a very good interest in a museum and we hope to expand on that,” said the Hurlock Town Manager, John Avery.
The town is still looking for more donations to add to the new museum.
