Milford man arrested on drug charges

MILFORD, Del. – A drug investigation led to charges for a Milford man Monday morning.

According to police, at around 10 a.m., a detective with the Milford Police Department was conducting surveillance in Brightway Commons when they observed what appeared to be open air drug transaction. Contact was made with 21-year-old Tyrek Lowther, and crack cocaine was seized.

Lowther was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $3500 unsecured, and Lowther is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing next month.
