Investigation underway following home invasion in Milton

MILTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that happened in Milton Sunday night.

Troopers were called to the 24000 block of Milton Ellendale Highway at around 10:30 p.m. for a reported home invasion robbery. On arrival, it was learned that three male suspects had entered the home through a rear door and made their way to a bedroom where a 73-year-old residence was sleeping. The suspects then allegedly assaulted the victim while demanding money, hitting the victim with handguns. The suspects also ransacked the kitchen and stole an unknown amount of cash and a laptop computer before fleeing.

The victim was treated for serious injuries at a local hospital. The only suspect information provided was that they were three males with handguns.
