Hurlock man arrested on multiple rape charges

HURLOCK, Md. – Maryland State Police say they arrested a Hurlock man on rape charges Tuesday morning following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault that took place earlier this month.

According to police, the investigation began when a female victim reported to state police that 43-year-old Jason Willis, with whom she was acquainted with, forcibly raped her at his residence on Russell Road in Hurlock. A search warrant was obtained and executed at Willis’ residence on Tuesday, where he was found and arrested without incident.

Police say Willis was taken to the hospital due to a matter not related to his arrest, and he will be taken before a District Court Commissioner after he is released from the hospital. Willis is charged with first degree rape, second degree rape, third degree sex offense, fourth degree sex offense, first degree assault, second degree assault, perverted practice, and reckless endangerment.
