Georgetown Police arrest man on numerous charges following vehicle chase
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A vehicle chase led to several charges for a man wanted for failing to re-register as a sex offender.
Police say 25-year-old Eder Rosas was seen driving a Honda CRV on South Bedford Street Thursday afternoon. Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but Rosas refused to stop and instead led police on a chase for several miles at high speeds while disregarding traffic signals and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Officers ended the pursuit due to concerns about public safety. Rosas was later found at a residence in Frankford and was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with failure to re-register as a sex offender, disregard a police officer’s signal, resisting arrest, driving while suspended/revoked, reckless driving, aggressive driving, and multiple traffic violations.
Rosas is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,900 secured bond.
