Funding approved for Water Main Extension project at Salisbury Airport

SALISBURY, Md. – County Executive Bob Culver has announced that funding has been secured for the Ocean City-Salisbury-Wicomico Regional Airport Water Main Extension project.

Officials say the county will receive over $4 million for the project, through a combination of grants and a low interest loan.

Through a partnership with the City of Salisbury, this project will run the city’s municipal water roughly six miles, to the airport campus. This project will also help in providing enhanced fire protection to the area, as well as increase development potential of the airport’s business park.
