Fall festival returns to Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – With cooler temperatures creeping in, locals across Delmarva are finally getting into the spirit of the fall season.

On Sunday, hundreds of people gathered in Bridgeville to celebrate the season at the annual fall festival.

The event took place at the Evans Farm.

Families got the chance to enjoy all sorts of things like hayrides, a corn maze, a petting zoo and even jump into a giant pit filled with 600 bushels of corn.

Some people say they hope their kids will pass down these sort of traditions for generations to come.

“We both kind of did this stuff when we were kids and I remember it fondly, my wife remembers it fondly,” said Dave Keifer, a Berlin resident.

“So, I hope he will too,” said Keifer.

Families also say events like the fall festival are also a chance to learn more about Delaware agriculture.
