Disturbance at local middle school prompts use of pepper spray

SALISBURY, Md. – A disturbance at Salisbury Middle School Tuesday afternoon prompted the use of pepper spray during the 8th grade lunch period.

Wicomico County Public Schools released a statement earlier today, saying an “unfortunate disturbance” led a school safety personnel to use pepper spray.

Details are limited at this time. We do not currently know what the disturbance was or who was involved, but officials say the students who were exposed to the pepper spray were treated in the nurse’s office.

47 ABC reached out to Wicomico County Public Schools, but officials could not confirm any details.
