Delaware Thunder fall in home opener

HARRINGTON, De- The Delaware Thunder held their 2019 home opener in front of a sold out Centre Ice Arena, now donned the “ThunderDome”. 638 fans checked out the local pro hockey team on the grounds of the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington on Friday night, as they took on the Columbus River Dragons.

The Thunder would fall behind 3-0 after the first period, and trail 4-1 after two. In the end, the River Dragons won 5-2 with 5 different players registering goals. For Delaware, Ryan Marker scored both goals.

Delaware (0-2) will host one more game against the River Dragons on Saturday, October 26th with the puck dropping at 7:05pm.
