Del. Fire Marshal investigating day care fire in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Del. – The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that broke out at a Lincoln day care center Monday afternoon.

According to officials, the fire broke out shortly after 12:30 p.m., at Ashley’s Christian Center in the 19000 block of Young Lane. The Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company responded to the report.

State fire investigators are working to determine the fire’s origin and cause. There were no reported injuries, and officials say the building was unoccupied at the time the fire was discovered. Fire damage has been estimated at $10,000.
