Bridgeville man arrested on drug dealing charges

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Bridgeville man on Thursday following a two week long investigation into drug dealing.

Police say the investigation involved 21-year-old Dwayne Dashiell, who was wanted on a Rule 9 warrant after previously being indicted by the Sussex County Grand Jury.

Dashiell was seen at the Hollybrook Apartments in Laurel, where he was taken into custody after trying to flee from police on foot. He was found to be in possession of more than $800 in suspected drug money and approximately 9.34 grams of marijuana packaged for sale.

Dashiell was charged with two counts of drug dealing related to the Rule 9 warrants, and police say further charges are pending. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $5,0000 secured bond.
