Autumn Wine Festival returns to Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Hundreds of wine lovers went outside this weekend for the 17th annual Autumn Wine Festival in Salisbury.
The festival took place at the Pemberton Historical Park.
It housed more than 10 local wineries for people to enjoy.
People got the chance to enjoy all sorts of foods and entertainment.
According to Layton’s Chance Vineyard and Winery, events like the festival allow them and other local businesses to meet new people while raising interest in wine on the shore.
“I hope that if the festival gets bigger that means more people will realize there’s a Maryland wine industry because even now we’ve been open coming up on ten years and people will still say I didn’t know there was a winery around here,” said Jennifer Layton, general manager at Layton’s Chance Vineyard and Winery.
Business owners say the festival also gives visitors a chance to taste locally grown fruits like watermelon and strawberries in their wine.
