Apple Scrapple gets spot on national television show

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Bridgeville is getting some national attention after a TV crew was in town to film the annual Apple Scrapple Festival.

The festival will be featured on the show “Small Town Big Deal”. The show focuses on unique events in small towns across the United States. The hosts call it their “love letter to America” because they want to highlight the people and traditions that these towns have to offer.

“Were featuring a lot of individual booths that make the scrapple and that type of thing. We went out and we picked some apples yesterday at an orchard. And we went to the farmer’s market. So we really got a flavor for the town yesterday. So now we’re just kind of focusing on the festival today,” says Rodney Miller, the co-host of Small Town Big Deal.

Small Town Big Deal is a syndicated show broadcasted on 170 different stations across the country. The Bridgeville Apple Scrapple episode will air sometime in February. You can find the schedule here.

You can watch Small Town Big Deal on 47 ABC, on Sunday mornings.
