18-year-old robbed in Dover, police investigating

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating after an 18-year-old man was robbed in Dover Thursday evening.

Police say the incident happened shortly after 7 p.m. The victim was reportedly walking toward White Oak Road in the 200 block of N. DuPont Highway when he was approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded money from the victim, and when the victim refused, the two got into an altercation. The suspect cut the victim’s finger and chin before fleeing the area.

The victim was treated for his wounds at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital.

The suspect was described as a male, 5’10”, short “afro” style hair, and was riding a bicycle.
