15-year-old arrested in connection to stabbing incident in Blades
BLADES, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested a Georgetown teen in connection to a stabbing that happened at a Blades gas station Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the incident happened shortly before 5 p.m., in the parking lot of the BP gas station at 50 Market St in Blades. The teen allegedly got into a verbal altercation with three male subjects about him owing them money, which quickly turned physical, leading the teen to stab one of the subjects in his lower extremity.
The two other subjects separated and left the scene, while the victim went to an area hospital for treatment of a puncture wound.
Police were able to identify the suspect and arrested him at his residence. He was charged with second degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, before being released to a guardian pending a future court appearance.
