Worcester Co. Sheriff’s Office recognized for efforts to decrease substance abuse

WORCESTER CO., Md. – One local organization was recognized for working to provide a welcoming pathway to those recovering from substance abuse.

The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office recently received a certificate of appreciation from the Worcester County Health Department, honoring the department’s efforts and programs to help decrease substance abuse and provide hope for those suffering.

The Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that they are thankful for their partners who support treatment for citizens. As of Friday, 15 people have been treated at the newly opened safe station in Ocean City.
