OCEAN CITY, Md. – One local elementary school was recently recognized nationally for the second time.

Ocean City Elementary School received the National Blue Ribbon Award, which recognizes schools on their overall academic excellence as well as their progress in closing achievement gaps. We’re told that OC Elementary joins the other 9,000 schools nationally who have won this award in the past.

On the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program’s website they say, “Ocean City Elementary School is an extraordinary place, where students learn the necessary tools for academic and personal growth.”
