WiHi throttles Queen Anne’s behind Matthews’ career night

SALISBURY, Md- The “new look” WiHi opened up the season with a statement win over Bayside North foe Queen Anne’s 35-13 on Friday night.

WiHi senior QB Andre Matthews finished with 4 total touchdowns, two rushing, one passing, and one interception returned for touchdown. Tied at 7 with 1:46 at the half, WiHi running back Stephaun Harris took a hand off 64-yards to the end zone to give the Tribe a 14-7 lead just before the break.

The Tribe opened the second half with 21-straight points, with Matthews scoring via run, pass (6-yd TD to Josh Shockley), and interception return.

WiHi moves to 1-0 on the season, and will host North Caroline next week. Queen Anne’s (0-1) will host Decatur next Friday.
