When Will it Start to Feel Like Fall?
Yesterday was the first day of fall, but it sure didn’t feel like it! Salisbury recorded a high temperature of 90°, and temperatures will hardly dip below 80° for the next week.
The Climate Prediction Center just released their 8-14 Day Outlook, which is suggesting more summer-like weather for Delmarva. They are predicting generally above average temperatures through October 7 with below average precipitation. This makes sense, considering we have very limited chances for rain shown in our current 7 day forecast.
Looking further ahead, the Climate Prediction Center also released a One Month Outlook. This is predicting more above average temperatures, but slightly above average precipitation for October. This is good news because we are looking mainly dry for the next few weeks.
It’s important to note that these outlooks predict based on yearly averages over a relatively large period of time. This means that not every single day will be warm, and not every single day will be dry. There will still be a few cooler days and nights with some precipitation. In the meantime, try to enjoy the warmer weather before we start seeing snow!
