UPDATE: Serious motorcycle crash shuts down Old Ocean City Road

PARSONSBURG, Md. – Emergency responders and the Maryland State Police say a serious motorcycle crash Tuesday evening resulted in two fatalities.

We’re told the accident happened shortly before 10 p.m., on Old Ocean City Road west of Broad Street in Parsonsburg. Investigation has revealed that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling westbound on Old Ocean City Road when the driver lost control and left the roadway.

Police say both occupants, 24-year-old Joseph Hill of Salisbury and 24-year-old Deanna Melton of Parsonsburg, were ejected from the motorcycle and died on scene.

The roadway was closed for approximately three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
