A cold front will slide through Delmarva tonight, bringing an isolated storm or two under mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
Thursday will consist of cloudy skies and some showers late in the day, while highs stay below average in the mid to upper 70s. Dorian’s effects will begin late Thursday night, bringing periods of rain and wind. Dorian will be closest to Delmarva on Friday, which will bring tropical storm conditions to parts of the peninsula. Expect breezy to windy conditions, along with rain, some coastal flooding, beach erosion and rough surf. Highs will be cool in the low to mid 70s. Winds will be strongest on the beach with gusts up to 60 mph, while inland areas will have gusts between 35-45 mph. Rainfall amounts will also be heaviest in areas south and east of Salisbury between 1-3 inches, while areas north and west of Salisbury will be less than an inch.
Conditions improve as drier air settles in on Saturday. Expect sunny skies with temperatures around 80. The mostly sunny skies carry over into Sunday with slightly warmer temperatures in the low 80s.
Monday will consist of partly to mostly cloudy skies with isolated storms and highs in the mid and upper 70s. A mix of clouds and sun is in the forecast for Tuesday with temperatures in the upper 70s to near 80. Wednesday will be partly to mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid 80s.
