Several DE residents arrested following drug investigation

MILFORD, Del. – Police in Milford have arrested seven people following a months long investigation into the sale of illicit drugs and drug activity at a home in the Sussex County part of the city.

On Thursday, September 5th the Milford Police Department Drug Unit along with the help of the U. S. Marshal’s First State Fugitive Tax Force served several arrest warrants and executed a search warrant at a home on the 100 block of McColley Street. During their search detectives located heroin, marijuana, and drug-related paraphernalia inside the home along with seven men who were inside the home at the time. The suspects were all taken back to the Milford Police Department for processing.

47-year-old Milford resident Christopher M. Proetzel was charged with manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, was committed to the Department of Corrections in default of $12,500 secured bail, and ordered to appear in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on September 12, for a preliminary hearing.

26-year-old Millsboro resident Dustin A. Townsend was charged with 2nd offense manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 26-year-old also had two violation of probation capiases out of Sussex County Superior Court. Townsend was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, committed to the Department of Correction in default of $17,500 secured bail for this investigation and $10,000 cash bail on each of the two violation of probation capiases, and was ordered to appear in Sussex County Superior Court on September 6th for capias return hearing and on September 12th for a preliminary hearing.

26-year-old Milford resident Richard L. Mclendon was charged with manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mclendon was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Department of Correction in default of $7,500 secured bail and ordered to appear in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on September 12th for a preliminary hearing.

58-year-old Milford residents Roger E. Paradis Jr. was charged with manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The 58-year-old had another active warrant for his arrest stemming from another drug investigation and was charged with one count of manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance. Paradis was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, committed to the Department of Correction in default of $12,500 secured bail in reference to this case and $10,000 secured bail in reference to the previous case, and ordered to appear in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on September 12th for a preliminary hearing.

34-year-old Milford resident Daniel O. Young was charged with manufacturing, delivery, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence-evidence suppression, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Young was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court 2, committed to the Department of Correction in default of $13,500 secured bail, and ordered to appear in the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on September 12th for a preliminary hearing.

 

35-year-old Milford resident Corey A. Johnson was charged with manufacturing, delivering, or possessing with intent to manufacture and deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson was presented through the Justice of the Peace Court, committed to the Department of Correction in default of $12,500 secured bail, and order to appear in Sussex County Court of Common Pleas on September 12th for a preliminary hearing.

37-year-old Milford resident Joan S. Albino was taken into custody on a failure to appear capias out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Albino was ordered to appear in Kent County COurt of Common Pleas on September 6th for a capias return hearing.
