Salisbury teen arrested on numerous drug charges following traffic stop

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury teen was arrested on numerous charges following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

At around 3:30 p.m., a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 1300 block of S. Salisbury Blvd for erratic driving and a registration violation. The front seat passenger was observed nervously moving around inside of the vehicle, and a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected.

A search of the vehicle was initiated, resulting in the recovery of a bag of crack cocaine weighing almost an ounce. The deputy then placed the passenger, 19-year-old Dylan Reed under arrest, but Reed initially provided a false identity. After discovering Reed’s true identity, the deputy learned that he had three outstanding warrants for his arrest, all for failure to appear.

Reed was charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, false statement to law enforcement, and obstruct and hinder. He was held without bond.
