Salisbury man sentenced for sex abuse of a minor
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man was sentenced Monday morning after being found guilty of two counts of sexual abuse of a minor, one count of second degree rape, two counts of second degree sex offense, three counts of third degree sex offense, and one count of incest against two victims.
A Wicomico County judge sentenced 52-year-old Charles Quails to 25 years each for the two counts of sex abuse of a minor, 20 years for second degree rape, and 20 years for second degree sex offense. All sentences will run consecutive, totaling 90 years in the Division of Corrections.
Quails was found guilty back on July 29th of this year, with the charges stemming from sexual abuse of two victims in 2017 who were both under the age of 12 at the time of the offenses.
