Salisbury avoids scare, holds off Wisconsin Oshkosh

SALISBURY, Md- The Salisbury University football team improved to 2-0 this season, defeating Wisconsin Oshkosh 24-19 on Saturday afternoon at Sea Gull Stadium.

The Gulls jumped out to a 14-0 lead at halftime, and led 24-0 with 13:26 to go in the fourth quarter after a touchdown from Hopeton Mair. Oshkosh would score the final 19 points of the game, before their comeback bid was stuffed by an onside kick recovery by Salisbury’s Lenard Prue.

Salisbury (2-0) has two consecutive bye weeks before beginning NJAC play at Montclair State on October 5th.
