Officials tour Downtown ahead of Folk Festival weekend

SALISBURY, Md. – The tents and stages are set for the National Folk Festival in Salisbury, and today Wicomico County’s leaders toured the area to make sure everything is ready to rock and roll.

Police, government officials, Mayor Jake Day, and event organizers all hopped on golf carts to drive around Downtown and check it out.

While they’ve all been working on preparations for week, officials tell 47 ABC that it’s important to see the area for themselves.

“These are the sorts of things that have reviewed in map, in a model, and on screens, over and over and over again, but seeing it in person is critical,” Mayor Jake Day said.

The Folk Festival kicks off on Friday and will go until Sunday.
