Wicomico libraries, PRMC partner for wellness initiative
SALISBURY, Md. – In Wicomico County, the public library is trying to make wellness easy.
It’s all part of the, appropriately named, Wellness Made Easy initiative.
The campaign is hosted by Wicomico Public Libraries, PRMC, and United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore, and it’s all about making sure people are aware of their own health and know how to handle it.
To help, the library will have books, DVDs, and other information about wellness literacy.
Officials say this is all in the interest of making sure community members stay healthy.
“So if you have a lower health literacy, you’re probably more likely to be ill, not seek the appropriate medical care, and those types of things,” Ashley Teagle, Executive Director of the public libraries, said.
Anyone interested in reading more is welcome to visit any Wicomico County library and check out the selection of books.
