Lake Forest starts the season 2-0 with big win over Tatnall
FELTON, Del.- Scoring 35 points in the first quarter, Lake Forest football defeated Tatnall 49-14. The Spartans move to 2-0 for the fist time since 2014, a season in which they finished the regular season 10-0.
It was all Spartans early… and late. Capping the opening drive off with a four yard counter to the left by Isaiah Johnson. Next Spartan drive, it was Damien Galindez this time on the read option. 73 yards to the house to make it a 14 point game. The Spartan defense also dominating, not letting the Hornets pass the 50 yard line the entire first half.
The offense still on fire on the next possession. Its Johnson again outrunning the entire team to the end zone for his second score of the first quarter. On their fourth offensive possession of the game, Zyaire Elliot gets it and its his turn to score.
The Spartans would score 35 points in the first quarter and hold on to take 49-14 over Tatnall. Lake will look to move to 3-0 next Friday when they travel to Newark to take on the Yellowjackets.
