DSP arrest Seaford man on drug charges

SEAFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Seaford man after a search warrant led to the discovery of drugs Tuesday evening.

According to police, the month-long drug investigation wrapped up at around 7:30 p.m. with the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 9000 block of Concord Road. The target of the investigation, 31-year-old Damarius Turnage, is currently on probation and serving a home confinement sentence.

When police arrived, Turnage was contacted on the front porch, and despite his attempts to flee into the residence, he was taken into custody. A subsequent search led to the seizure of approximately 585 bags of heroin, approximately 45.56 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and more than $5,000 in suspected drug money.

Turnage was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 4 quantity, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $216,600 cash only bond.
