Delmarva Bike Week wraps up

SALISBURY, Md. – Motorcycle enthusiasts enjoyed Sunday’s wrap up of the Ocean City Bike Week and the Delmarva Bike Week.

In Salisbury, attendees got the chance to enjoy what new things local bike vendors have to offer at Delmarva Bike Week.

Part of the event this year took place at the Perdue Stadium.

Organizers say the annual four-day event also makes a huge economic impact on the shore.

Local business owners say they benefit significantly from the thousands of people who come out to the event every year.

Attendees say the event is mostly about comradery and building relationships within the community.

“As a local dealer, it means a lot to us, and it’s a chance to go out and talk to the community, those who ride,” said Mike Eichhorn at the¬†Chesapeake Cycles.

“A percentage of people who ride is still relatively small, so when you get a chance to talk to the multitude in a gathering of a weekend it’s wonderful,” said Eichhorn.

Bikers took rides together and event talked about customizing their rides while talking shop.
