Delmar’s Rodriguez seals win over Queen Anne’s with late pick-six
DELMAR, Del.- Down 27-26 with less than four minutes to go, Delmar’s Jaylin Warner gave the Cats a lead they wouldn’t surrender, beating Queen Anne’s 40-27 on Friday night.
In their second straight game against a Maryland opponent, Delmar’s Dylan Rodriguez stopped any chance of another Bayside loss, returning a Syrus McGowan interception for a touchdown with just minutes remaining.
For the Delmar offense, Te’Kwon Dennard led the attack, getting in the endzone three times, including a 94-yard rush.
On Queen Anne’s, despite the late interception, quarterback Syrus McGowan accounted for three scores as well, two rush and one pass.
