Caesar Rodney Drops Opener vs. Appo

CAMDEN, Del. – The Caesar Rodney Riders dropped their season opener against Appoquinimink 35-7.

Both defenses had solid first drives, but Appo struck first behind a Ryan vonBrandt connecting with Ezekiel Brister for the early touchdown. On the next drive for the Riders they answered with an 80-ard score courtesy of  Tremere Woodlin finding Corey Handy to knot things up.

The Jags offense couldn’t be stopped though. Appo rattled off 28 straight unanswered points to close the game out on a 35-7 victory. CR will be back to work on September 13 at Caravel.
