Accomack Sheriff’s Office investigating shooting

ATLANTIC, Va. – The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a person was shot early Monday morning in Atlantic.

According to police, shortly after midnight a report came in that a subject had been shot in the area of Hillcrest Dr. On arrival, a 23-year-old male subject was found sitting in his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to PRMC in Salisbury by Oak Hall rescue personnel.
