Worcester Goes Purple kicks off
BERLIN, Md. – Atlantic General Hospital’s lobby was a sea of purple on Friday, as the Worcester Goes Purple team was there to educate people on the opioid crisis.
Their kick off event had information packets, rock painting for a river garden, and Narcan training.
Officials from Worcester Goes Purple tell 47 ABC that Friday’s event was all about raising awareness and education.
“We want people to be aware of the resources that are available, the recovery options that are out there, and for the community to be supportive of stopping the stigma to let people know it’s okay to reach out for help,” Debbie Smullen, Worcester Goes Purple Events Coordinator, said.
