Woman charged after hit-and-run spree in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Officials say a drunken hit-and-run spree has led to almost 50 charges for a Delaware woman.
According to Ocean City Police, 23-year-old Paige Tomczak was driving recklessly with drugs in the car when she hit multiple vehicles and fled the scene on Tuesday. She reportedly hit one car while driving the wrong way on a highway, injuring one person.
Investigators say she kicked a first responder before being arrested. A search of her vehicle led to the discovery of drugs, paraphernalia, alcohol, and a knife. Tomczak’s blood alcohol level was also reportedly three times the legal limit at the time of her arrest.
She is now facing a list of criminal charges, including second degree assault, CDS possession, and failure to remain at the scene of an accident.
