Two Harrington residents arrested in connection to drug investigation

HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people on Thursday after investigating the distribution of illegal drugs.

The investigation wrapped up with the execution of a search warrant at a residence on Cozy Woods Drive in Harrington. One of the targets of the investigation, 51-year-old Angeline Levan, was located inside of the home and taken into custody. Her 17-year-old daughter was also present at the time.

The search resulted in the recovery of approximately 140.46 grams of cocaine, approximately 61.35 grams of crack cocaine, and more than $2,500 in suspected drug money.

Levan was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 4 quantity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 5 quantity, conspiracy second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $22,500 cash only bond.

The other target of the investigation, 49-year-old James Johnson, had fled the residence prior to police arrival. Johnson later turned himself in and was charged with the same offenses as Levan. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $22,500 cash only bond.
