Three arrested on drug charges in Dagsboro

DAGSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested three people after wrapping up a month-long drug investigation.

A search and seizure warrant was executed on Tuesday at the home of the target, 28-year-old Keion Sturgis, in the 30000 block of Iron Branch Road in Dagsboro. Sturgis was located inside the home on police arrival, along with his mother, 47-year-old Lynnell Drummond, 36-year-old Lamar Morris, and three juveniles.

The search resulted in the recovery of 156 bags of heroin, which Sturgis reportedly tried to discard in the toilet. Sturgis was also found to be in possession of approximately .47 grams of powder cocaine and more than $2,700 in suspected drug money. An additional .16 grams of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia were found inside the residence.

All three were subsequently arrested at the conclusion of the search.

Sturgis was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is currently being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $15,500 cash only bond.

Drummond was charged with maintaining a drug property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. She is currently being held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $6,500 cash only bond.

Morris was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released on $1,000 unsecured bond.
