The Delmarva Discovery Museum Presents: A Wacky Worlds of Bugs!
POCOMOKE CITY, Md. — This morning on Good Morning Delmarva, Erica Murphy was joined by many guest to talk about the first ever Wacky World of bugs event at the Delmarva Discovery Museum. Kelsey Allen and Ashley Thierfeldt told Erica the event will be on Tuesday, August 13th from from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Pocomoke City.
Kelsey and Ashley also gave us a sneak peek of what could be expected at the animal exhibit by bringing tree frogs and their box turtle, who goes by the name of Gary, onto the show. Gary made his debut this morning and loved being on the camera. If you couldn’t get enough of Gary, he may be at the even next Tuesday at the animal encounters.
Ashley and Kelsey told us the event is a time for children of all ages to spend time in the great outdoors discovering the positive impact bugs have on the world around us. They want local residents to discover the small things that make a huge difference through several hands-on activities and helping to create our first ever bug display.
The event will have activities including: crafts, games, nature walks, bug collecting and animal encounters. This event is for children 6 and up, but make sure they come with their bellies full because lunch will not be provided.
Space is limited to only 25 eager students and must be reserved and pre-paid. The price to participate for a member of the Delmarva Discovery Museum is $10.00 per child and for non-members, the price is $15.00 per child.
