Search warrant leads to two arrests in Pittsville

PITTSVILLE, Md. – An investigation into the distribution of drugs led to two arrests late last month in Pittsville.

On July 26th, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and the Pittsville Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence in the 7400 block of Gumboro Road in Pittsville, following an investigation into the distribution of controlled dangerous substances. The search resulted in the recovery of an amount of cocaine indicative of the intent to distribute, as well as two firearms. The residence is also located within 1000 feet of Pittsville Elementary and Middle School.

The target of the investigation, 58-year-old Marvin Lee Briddell, was subsequently arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics within 1000 feet of a school zone, possession with the intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a firearm during drug trafficking crime, possession of firearm by prohibited person (felon), possession of firearm with obliterated serial number, and other CDS/firearm related charges. He is being held without bond.

38-year-old Zolita Nikkita Tindley was also arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute narcotics within 1000 feet of a school zone, possession with intent to narcotic, and possession of cocaine. She was released after posting bail.
