Fire breaks out at West O.C. restaurant early Friday morning
OCEAN CITY, Md. — It has been confirmed that a fire broke out at Mad Fish Bar & Grille in West Ocean City, MD early this morning.
Around 4:40 a.m., crews were called to the 12000 block of Harbor Road for a fire. There are reports of a loud explosion waking surrounding residents prior to the fire.
By 7:30 a.m., fire officials said the fire was put out. Officials report extensive damage to the restaurant’s structure. Neighboring building may have also been damaged by the fire, officials said. This restaurant used to be the Captain Galley before it was re-opened under a new name in 2018.
There were no injuries to report at the scene according to officials.
Fire crews are remaining on the scene. As of now, the cause of the fire is under investigation.
