UPDATE: Suspect identified in Felton bank robbery
8/6 UPDATE: A joint investigation by the F.B.I., Delaware State Police, and Middletown Police has led to the identification of the suspect wanted in connection to a Felton bank robbery as 39-year-old Michael Wheeler of Wilmington.
Police say he has also been connected to two additional bank robberies that took place on Monday, at the M&T Bank on E. Main Street in Middletown as well as the Wells Fargo on Philadelphia Pike in Wilmington.
Wheeler is wanted on charges of first degree robbery, two counts of second degree robbery, and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony.’

FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are searching for the man they say robbed a bank in Felton on Friday, August 2nd.
According to the report at about 4:48 P.M. a suspect entered the WSFS Bank at 105 Irish Hill Road and gave a teller a note demanding cash and implying that he had a weapon by pointing to his waistband. Police say the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect before the man fled on foot southbound on Canterbury Road.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect (above). We’re told that no weapon was displayed during the incident, only implied.
