UPDATE: Teen arrested in connection to Dover business burglary

 

8/19 UPDATE: Dover Police have arrested a man in connection to the burglary at Dover Auto Body that happened last week.

18-year-old DeShawn Carroll was developed as a suspect and taken into custody at his place of employment on Friday. He was charged with two counts of third degree burglary, two counts of theft/attempted theft, and two counts of criminal mischief.

Carroll was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $6,700 secured bond.

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating an early morning burglary that happened at Dover Auto Body.

According to police, the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m., when the owner received an alert on his phone and drove to the business to check on things. When the owner arrived, a male suspect fled from the business into the Capital Park neighborhood.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect had forced entry into the business through a set of doors and went through items inside before leaving.
